Today, after we deemed training too dangerous with the soft snow conditions, we gathered the team up for some free-skiing fun. After we bombed the Allen on our first run we decided that we were warmed up enough to bring back an old tradition of Middlebury Ski Team’s past – THE VOTER DOWNHILL RUN!!! I haven’t been that scared or excited or had THAT much fun in a while! It was awesome! In hindsight, I’ll definitely wax HF next year when we bring back the Voter Downhill! I want to win if it means I’ll get a sweet Snow Bowl print from EJ Bartlett – had I known that was the prize today, I would have pushed harder and thrown a few more elbows!
Anyway, congrats to Makenzie Brown and Christoph Niederhauser who were the winners of the kamikaze style downhill on the Voter today!
